Crimean food as is. It is very, very tasety and yummy. And very fresh. The fish is just from the sea, the meat never was put to fridge.

We also gathered mushrooms, this summer is rich for mushrooms and berries. But not all mushrooms are fine.

The mushroom I hold is toadstool, here it's called "the devil's mushroom".

And this is not food, this is the cat that rests in the old postbox near my house. ;)

Blessed summer! :)))

Tkemaly sause

Just an hour ago I've cooked Tkemaly.
I've gathered some cherry-plum near my house, mint and coriander, added some chili and salt.

Today we traveled to Shakh-Murzy lake. I've made much photoes, but I'd like to show you the mushrooms we gathered there.

Just a day on Klementyeva hill. Paraplans, shashlik, storm and magic nature.

Early summer in Koktebel. Just some pics and nothing more...

I've finished with this new necklace (or you can say it's a pendant, as you like). Jade, czech glass beads, marine checking pearls.

When I've completed my first "lazy" bolero, I've not been totaly satisfied with it. So, I've repeated this model for grown-up, and now I am satisfied. The reason is that this model is not suitable for children, it's better for grown-ups.

Here it is. What do you think about this variant?

"Never say never", yes? :) I've made it again. One more scarf. I hope it would be the last one till next fall.

Feb 28, 2013

Well, I've a little bit tired of scarfs, and now my favorite is "lazy" bolero. This one I've made for my friend's daughter.

Why I've called it "lazy"? The secret is...

I am really in love with this sort of yarn! One free evening and 200 gr of yarn, and here is a new scarf! It's about the first spring grass, that appears under the fallen leaves.

My congratulations to my good friend Nadezhda! She made her web-site of the abyssinian cattery! Nadya, I wish you all the best, and I wish many happy days to your wonderful cats!

A few days ago I've bought some turnip in the vegetable shop. I've never tried it before, so, that was my first experiment, and I think it was successful!

I've taken some fresh mushrooms (champignons), onion, two average turnips and some seed oil. Salt and curry (my favorite flavoring).

A half of the winter already passed, but the "winter mode" still remaines. This scarf is about winter days on the seashore: weeds on the sand, wet wind and the smoke from the hearth. A good time for reading a good book. A good time for spring waiting...

The scarf is nearly 2 m long, 100 gr weight. 100% acrilyc.

Extra pics after the jump break:

The last autumn day was so warm... We let our windows opened all previous night. And in the morning we went for a small walk - just a couple of kms from our house. Usually we go to the seashore, but now my husband proposed to go to the wild fields...

Here are the last houses of Feodosia. The town ends suddenly, and the wild prairie (or steppe) begins.

This day the sky was really magic, and it changed every moment...

At last I've found it! The name of the plant from the previous post is Phytolaccaceae. I've never seen it before and I don't know how it appeared here. But it looks beautiful! And as far as I've read, it's often used in ethnoscience.

Nov 14, 2012

The last warm day in November. The sky above the sea was so damp and calm, and the sea seemed so warm, but I didn't risk to swim... Now it is cold and windy. Winter comes...

Some days ago I've found a strange plant on the town street. I don't know what it is, but it looks so bright and unusual... Maybe somebody here can help me and say what is it? Here are some photoes:

Another scarf. I named it "The First Rime".

I've tried this splended fantazy yarn both by crotchet and by fork, but at last it appeared that old good needles are the best for its peculiar texture.
Below you can see two extra photos and get some more description of the scarf.

This morning started with a splended post by , with the pics of Great Grey Owl ! And I remembered that there are owls that live just in my town.

They occupied two crimean pines on the central boulevard, and they seem to feel good here. In the daytime they are almost motionless, so, it was not difficult to take the pics. Below you can see two more. By the way, I've counted 14 screech-owls on two trees! Rather good result for two trees and one town, don't you think? :)
